I thought that I would sleep a bit longer on Saturday.
Well, "Nikolausklettern" seemed to be a tempting offer and so I got up early
again :)
"Nikolausklettern" (Santa Claus Climbing) is organized b4
Christmas and I have to admit that it was a really enjoyable experience. Apart
from taking photos I also prepared some avi films which you can find below :)
Film 1 -
Climbing "Breakfast Eggs"
Film 2 -
Climbing "Rescuing Ducks"
Film 3 -
Climbing "On the rope"
Film 4 -
Climbing "Presents from
Santa Claus"
Film 5 -
Climbing "Beer
Containers"
Warm-up first!

Susanne explains what we are about to do :)

The average age of the climbers
varied to the large extent :P

"Nikolausklettern"
consisted of 11 tasks. The difficulty level varied as well :)

The first task
was the one I liked best. Two climbers were supposed to imagine a
breakfast on a
mountain summit and ... bring fresh eggs to the top ;)) As you can
see on the
picture below our eggs were made from chocolate. This was very wise
indeed as the
eggs were falling down from the plate carried by the climber very often :P

I've tried
first :P

Up up and
slowly...

Balance is
essential so that the task can be accomplished :)

:)

A bit
further...

We've nearly
made it and finally -

... the
chocolate eggs wait on the "peak" :D

BTW - we did
this task on time :P

... and could
keep our eggs once we succeeded :D

We go back so
that...

.... other
climbers may try as well :)

Presents?
:)))))))) The second task was about carrying Santa's rucksack and leaving
the gifts in
the bags which were hanging on the wall.

No wonder that
younger climbers were highly interested :D

Hmmm, what's
inside? :P

Our Santa
Claus starts first.

Here I come :)

:)

This task
requires some finger strength and so I'm happy that I've bought myself
a PowerBall to
practice a bit :)

One of the
tasks tested your balance. You had to stand on empty beer containers :)

The third task
was a real challenge> you had to get small ducks back to tiny houses
placed on the
climbing wall. That's how I rescued small ducks -
Climbing "Rescuing Ducks"

Well, :PPPP

Climbing with
small ducks again...

You basically
had 40 seconds to place a duck in its new house :)

On the rope :P

Climbing "On the rope"

One of the

Hmmm, what is
it?

We also had a
small photo exhibition :)

And I even
found that there were some photos that I've taken in the Saxon Switzerland
in the
previous term :) You can actually see me on the right.

The photo I
liked best :D

:) Merry Christmas. I hope it will soon start snowing a I
can't await snowboarding :D
